Meet rabbit humans in two largest Lithuanian cities
“Usaginingen” is Japanese artists Shinichi Hirai and Emi Hirai. “Usagi” means “rabbit” and “Ningen” means “human” in Japanese, so “Usaginingen” together makes “rabbit human”. They perform as an audiovisual artist duo with visual and music equipment they have invented, the instrument-machines named “Ta-Co” and “Shibaki”.
They have performed at various international music, art, film festivals and educational institutions, including Fusion Festival (DE), Vision’R Festival (FR), roBOt07 Festival (IT), Flatpack Film Festival (UK), Antimatter Media Art (CA) and Barents Spektakel (NO, RU).
The duo has won few awards, including the one for the best live cinematography at the Reykjavik Visual Music Punto y Raya Festival. By 2016, they have already performed in 45 cities across 17 countries.
Lithuanian artist Eglė Sirvydytė will join “Usaginingen” on stage and enrich audiovisual performance with some subtle vocals.
